First Day

Posted by joseph baladad on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, In : personal
I was late on my first day in my job as computer operator. I had to ride a taxi with another passenger whom I do not know but still I arrived at 8:01 in the bundy clock already. I was also informed that my first salary will be delayed because of budget constraints.

Anyway, I was assigned at the budget team after I was enrolled in the biometrics by the HRM officer. Today, I realized that after working in several private companies and indirectly working in SSS as team leader, I have finally lear...

After Three Months

Posted by joseph baladad on Monday, October 1, 2012, In : personal
A few hours from now, I will be working in a government agency already. After four months of waiting, I signed my appointment past two in the afternoon today. I was also informed that I will start tomorrow, unexpectedly. It was a relief from the months of being almost in despair already because of the feeling of doing nothing and earning nothing. I kept myself busy by doing freelance jobs and I was also lucky to finish a shot of layout and designing a missalette project. I am very thankful to...

First time to tracked my hourly job in Odesk. I was able to tracked one hour of work. I already submitted the first few entries for the client to check.

Also, we've met up with the dad of Love's best friend and gave a box of cake and cupcakes as birthday gift. Before this, I was able to put a clothesline on the ceiling of the bedroom. Also, after the meet-up, we also bought a new 24-watt lamp for the room. Now, it's brighter in the room than before, when I arrived here.

Later, we will be leavin...

Day 28 in Baguio

Posted by joseph baladad on Saturday, July 28, 2012, In : personal
I tried the 130 messages as part of the requirement in the transcription job I applied for. I started at around 9:30 AM or 9:45 AM and finished 92 messages at 1:15 PM, without lunch break. The only break I had was when I sent a text to Love. The remaining 38 messages, I finished from 1:25 PM until 3:00 PM. It was raining very hard when I went out of the building.

I was able to attend the anticipated mass, too.

"The poor is more generous than the rich" as emphasized by the priest.

We also had a ...

Day 27 in Baguio

Posted by joseph baladad on Friday, July 27, 2012, In : personal
I had my interview today for the transcription job I have applied and it went well. I was asked to return for an introduction regarding the company and the job. I had to go to church to pass the time until after lunch. I was able to attend mass also. One thing I have learned today is "accidents do happen, any time, any moment". I was walking slowly downwards the 104-stone staircase and I accidentally slipped. It was a good thing that I was able to hold on the railing and if not, I would have ...

Still Busy at Night

Posted by joseph baladad on Thursday, April 26, 2012, In : personal
It’s the birthday of my eldest brother today, Jerome. He is already in his 40s and still a survivor in New York.

I am still busy and it’s 1030 in the evening already, still busy pondering and web searching. I am still searching for jobs to apply at. I have already sent copies of my resume to several companies. While browsing, I saw the company’s advertisement regarding a supervisory/team leader vacancy for deployment in Mindanao. Hmm. I guess it is really time for me to leave now...
