Air Asia Itinerary Resolved

Posted by joseph baladad on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, In : personal
It was already resolved when I checked my email as of tonight, 11:49 PM in Baguio City after I sent tweets to their @askairasia tweeter account last Sunday, 1 October 2017 at 10:13 PM. I just mentioned the booking numbers, my full name and my email address.

The gender on my mother's name and my sister's name were tagged as "MR" instead of "MS" and I am pretty sure that I checked female when I was booking. I just noticed the error when I was looking at the bookings last Sunday and finally saw ...

It Was 4 Years 4 Months 19 Days Ago

Posted by joseph baladad on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, In : personal
It was a long hiatus. It was 4 years, 4 months and 21 days ago since my last post here in ponderer.yolasite.com which was 15 May 2013. Time really passed so quickly. I was pondering of deleting this blog already. Removing it to give way to new ideas but decided to have a look at it again and then decided to continue. Just let it be.

It's 10:26 PM already in the Baguio City, 3 October 2017, sitting in front of two monitors, one a desktop computer and another a laptop which I am using for my onl...

My 1st External Hard Drive

Posted by joseph baladad on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, In : personal
Last May 6, I had trouble accessing my external hard drive. It really worried me a lot, actually, tons of worrying because all my personal files were there. On May 8, after letting it stayed connected overnight to the HP Mini 110 and using the same USB cable, it was finally detected. I hurriedly prepared to copy all the files from it and it took almost 4 days to be copied. After that 4 days of copying, I reformatted it last Monday, May 13 but it also took 2 days and still it was not fully for...

I Hope My External Drive Will Function

Posted by joseph baladad on Monday, May 6, 2013, In : personal
As of this moment, I am having trouble accessing my WD5000BPVT-00HXZT1 external hard drive. It's a Western Digital SATA drive on an Ovation casing. All my personal and important files are in it. It is suppose to be my backup drive and now I am having trouble with it. The computer suddenly does not detect it.

I hope it will be detected even for a few hours so that I can just copy all my files from it. It was just functioning awhile ago and then it went undetected when I was copying files from ...

Need To Edit

Posted by joseph baladad on Saturday, October 6, 2012, In : personal
I was able to jog for 12+ kms this morning. I also was able to enter slu without being noticed by the guard. Inside the classroom of Love, I was able to find out that the transient website I created had an almost the same domain name with another transient here in Baguio. So, I need to edit again and create a new site. We were able to register for the Smart/Baguio Run For A Cause tomorrow and I registered for 21K and Love for 10K.

My first time to eat at Mann Hann.

First Friday Mass

Posted by joseph baladad on Friday, October 5, 2012, In : personal
I arrived early since I was the one assigned to read the First Reading and the Responsorial Psalm in the concluded First Friday Mass today in which our section was the sponsor. I was then informed not to read the Alleluia part.

Also, after the Flag Retreat, I was informed by my colleague to memorize three important items.

After work, I met my Love and her sister at Picare and I ordered Mochaccino. We then ate dinner at YellowCab.

I was also able to finish my Odesk task which I felt was long over...

Oath Taken

I am officially a public servant today as I have taken the oath of office as computer operator in a government agency. At last, my dream of working in a government institution came true. My sub-professional civil service eligibility became useful finally.

I also was able to find a solution for my sun postpaid sim which automatically turn into roaming mode whenever I am inside our office even though I have not activated it to roaming mode. I have experience it before when we went to starbucks a...

I was almost late but was able to pass through even though the gate near the Cathedral was being closed by the guard already. I did not know it has a schedule for opening and closing although I did noticed a gate schedule when I pass through the first gate.

We were required to sing and practice for the First Friday mass and because our department is the sponsor, I did join in the practice.

At home, I checked my online chess and disappointed to see that I lost three games again due to time limit...

First Day

I was late on my first day in my job as computer operator. I had to ride a taxi with another passenger whom I do not know but still I arrived at 8:01 in the bundy clock already. I was also informed that my first salary will be delayed because of budget constraints.

Anyway, I was assigned at the budget team after I was enrolled in the biometrics by the HRM officer. Today, I realized that after working in several private companies and indirectly working in SSS as team leader, I have finally lear...

After Three Months

Posted by joseph baladad on Monday, October 1, 2012, In : personal
A few hours from now, I will be working in a government agency already. After four months of waiting, I signed my appointment past two in the afternoon today. I was also informed that I will start tomorrow, unexpectedly. It was a relief from the months of being almost in despair already because of the feeling of doing nothing and earning nothing. I kept myself busy by doing freelance jobs and I was also lucky to finish a shot of layout and designing a missalette project. I am very thankful to...

Thanks God for the wonderful morning and weather in this place I have love.

Thank you for the lunch together with Love at Volante after attending the 1215 mass at the Our Lady of the Atonement Cathedral which was also my thanksgiving offer to God.

The only break I had was when I sent a text to Love. The remaining 38 messages, I finished from 1:25 PM until 3:00 PM. It was raining very hard when I went out of the building.

I was able to attend the anticipated mass, too.

I was able to jogged and run longer again today, my 25th day in Baguio. It was a good thing that it did not rain when I was running. I was able to go to CJH, BCC and up to South Drive which was the last part of my route today. During my run, I was stopped suddenly by a guard in BCC which kept me wondering until I saw that there was a golfer who was shooting his ball. Due to the cold weather, this will be my first time that I have spent the day without taking a bath. It was a good thing that I did not perspire or even experience sweating today due to the cold weather too. We were not able to run or even go to church because of the storm. Also, Love still had to finish preparing the preliminary examinations of her students.

I was there when the grades were manipulated because it is my Love who were tasked to be the (un)official training coordinator. There was a pressure to retake the full cycle timing of data cap...

Still Busy at Night

Posted by joseph baladad on Thursday, April 26, 2012, In : personal
It’s the birthday of my eldest brother today, Jerome. He is already in his 40s and still a survivor in New York.

--------

I am still busy and it’s 1030 in the evening already, still busy pondering and web searching. I am still searching for jobs to apply at. I have already sent copies of my resume to several companies. While browsing, I saw the company’s advertisement regarding a supervisory/team leader vacancy for deployment in Mindanao. Hmm. I guess it is really time for me to leave now...

Decision Time

Posted by joseph baladad on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, In : personal
Most of the trainees are really slow when it comes to typing which then greatly affect the modular and full cycle timing we conducted today. It was a decision time again if we need to adjust the scoring system for this batch. Same with the previous batches wherein we also had to go overtime and came home very late just to make sure all trainees pass and only one or two will be eliminated during the final evaluation. My Love did adjusted already the scoring of the modular and full cycling timi...

Stress Out, Walk

As part of being a team leader, I have the responsibility of training would-be operators in a nationwide government project. This time, I had to return to the project office and co-handle the 14th batch of trainees for regional and metro-based operators.

We went early so that we can start early. Fourteen trainees were scheduled starting today but only eleven attended. This is a good thing, at least, they know what they are doing and they have been thinking already.

The usual things but with a ...

A Review of My Cherry Mobile D12

Posted by joseph baladad on Monday, April 23, 2012, In : personal
I use this cellphone primarily for business purposes having inserted the 2 sim cards from the two company-issued cellphones. Those 2 cellphones are Samsung Corby 2 and Nokia C2-01 both of which I am not using anymore since I do not want to bring so many cellphones.

As I have mentioned, 2 sim cards, which means this is a dual-sim cellphone. Just the basic features can be found in this cellphone which I bought for texting use only. It also has an MP3 player which I rarely use. It features also a...

Been Thinking on a Friday the 13th

Posted by joseph baladad on Friday, April 13, 2012, In : personal
As I was browsing for jobs online, I had a feeling of regression on my part because I am not a college graduate. It is only here in this country that a college degree is very important despite the person’s having the right skill for the job or even a multi-talented and multi-skilled person. Without any college degree or a college diploma to present, chances are very low for getting hired. It is very rare that an interviewer will pass an applicant who has many experiences to be proud of and ...
